Product Details

A remarkable Antique Scottish bracelet made during the mid-Victorian era, Circa 1860. The wonderful piece is made up of polished Agate links in unique ball and cylinder shapes. They display beautiful natural colouring and held together in Silver settings.

Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning them the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’.

Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.

The clasp is held together by a lovely heart padlock which is set with a gorgeous Carnelian on the front and engraved with a floral display on the back.

The piece is highly unique and though there are some signs of wear to the stones It was originally part of a collection and has been beautifully preserved given its age.
